Recently, The Beacon, a chain game on Arbitrum, has suddenly become popular on social media. This simple pixel-style chain game, with its special “dungeon” and other attributes, has caused a rare explosion in the current GameFi market, which is generally cold. After the explosion of The Beacon, the TreasureDAO ecosystem incubated by the game behind it has also received attention from the market, and its activity volume has also increased in a short period of time. According to Dune Analytics (below), the weekly active addresses of TreasureDAO ecosystem recently reached a one-year high of nearly 20,000.

TreasureDAO started as an NFT project on the Loot ecosystem and has since become a decentralized gaming ecosystem with shared assets, resources, community and infrastructure. MAGIC is TreasureDAO’s governance Token, which allows for certain governance, voting and decision-making rights. Players can earn MAGIC by playing, mining and participating in games.

On December 12, Binance announced that it would launch Magic (MAGIC) in the Innovation Zone at 16:00 on the same day. As a result of this news, MAGIC pulled up to $0.748, a 24-hour gain of over 40%.

This article will introduce the key projects of TreasureDAO ecosystem.

Trove

Trove is the main NFT trading marketplace for the TreasureDAO ecosystem, launched on November 3, 2021, initially to support TreasureDAO’s initial games (Smolverse and Bridgeworld), with NFTs priced in ETH and MAGIC on the platform, with the goal of becoming a benchmark to OpenSea’s Arbitrum ecosystem NFT trading platform. Trove aims to build a new metaverse with more personalization and gamification by attracting more attention and interest from users through gamification mechanics intertwined with the TreasureDAO ecosystem, while rewarding loyalty through badges and achievement systems, leaderboards, EXP, user levels, etc. Trove will also empower good and active participants with the tools to dive deeper into the market with these analyzable, rare and other useful tools, and Trove will introduce an open and license-free project listing model in the future. Currently the highest volume NFT project on Trove in MAGIC terms is Legions, while the highest volume in ETH terms is Smulips.

Magicswap

Magicswap is the main DEX of the TreasureDAO ecosystem and one of its key infrastructures, dedicated to being the gateway to the TreasureDAO ecosystem’s cross-game economy. Currently Magicswap’s swap and pool are only live for two pairs, Magic/Gfly (BattleFly DAO’s governance token), and Magic/ELM (Tales of Elleria’s governance token).

Bridgeworld

Bridgeworld is a strategic business, trade and domination game, but should be thought of more as a gaming platform. Birdgeworld incorporates many of the DeFi gameplay that forms the base economic layer of TreasureDAO, which can be expanded to serve as an important structure for connecting other game worlds within the ecosystem. Bridgeworld has seven locations: Atlas Mine, Barracks, Summoning Circle, Ivory Tower, The Forge, and Harvesters. In Bridgeworld, MAGIC is a requirement to obtain a character, and each gaming community competes as a guild to obtain MAGIC. The roadmap for the first season of Bridgeworld places a clear emphasis on the role of NFT, where players can use their legions, possessions, and consumables to develop characters, build narratives, and improve mining efficiency.

Smolverse

Smolverse is a native NFT project on TreasureDAO, which started free casting in October 2021. The project consists of 3 core NFT series, namely Smol BrainsSmol Bodies, Smol Pets and Smol Brains, which can be divided into Moon Rock, Stardust, Comet Shard, Lunar Gold and Alien Relic according to rarity. The project currently has 30,000 community members, and the Smolverse’s cumulative trading volume is officially over 36 million MAGIC. A partnership with StriderDAO to build Smolville, the flagship game on top of Smolverse, was announced in August 2022, but has not yet gone live.

Tales of Elleria

The GameFi aspect of Tales of Elleria was inspired by off-chain RPGs such as Final Fantasy. The project was originally developed for BSC, but was migrated to Arbitrum after a community vote. The game currently has an RPG system that introduces PVP, equipment, leveling, guild and hero recovery features as well as an internal economic system with ELLERIUM (ELM) as the primary Token and MEDALS (MEDALS) as a supplemental Token, and Tales of Elleria’s character NFT currently has a floor price of 79 MAGIC (~$48.80). Tales of Elleria is also developing and testing an open-world version of Elleria for full immersion and proper real-time skill play.

The Beacon

The Beacon is the hottest game in the TreasureDAO ecosystem today, and has been hailed as the “dungeon” of chain games as a Free to Play action role-playing game, and has been retweeted “recommended” by Arbitrum for many times. Gameplay includes single player, group adventure, casual dress up, etc. The Beacon has already developed single-player, multiplayer, and housing systems, and the official roadmap shows that single-player PvE and co-op PvE modes will be launched one after another in the future. In the single player mode, players can enter the dungeon alone to fight, try to keep the character alive to pass, after passing the player to get NFT or FT rewards. The game is free to play, with the option to spend $40 on casting for paid characters after experiencing the game. Officially, The Beacon does not set the rarity of characters, and the current number of Genesis characters NFT cast is over 30,000. Players can collect raffle tickets in-game to get a white list of pets to cast for upcoming rarities.

BattleFly

BattleFly is considered to be the first high-volume, mass-market game in the TreasureDAO ecosystem. As an experimental PvP strategy game, players compete against each other to earn rewards, primarily MAGIC. Players engage in PVP battles through a matchmaking system where both players pledge a small amount of MAGIC prior to the battle, and when a player wins a battle in BattleFly, it earns its opponent’s MAGIC and BattleFly receives a 10% commission on the game. BattleFly has over 270 MODs in its first season alone, leading to an almost unlimited number of BattleFly builds. gFLY is its governing t Token, which holders are rewarded for pledging and providing security to the network, with rewards coming primarily from marketplace commissions, fees from player matchmaking, and NFT sales.

The Lost Donkeys

The Lost Donkeys is a project based on the fusion of PFP and GameFi, where players can build barns, train Donkeys, etc. to become the farmers they want to be and harvest the game’s native Token CARROT. There are currently over 8,000 Lost Donkey NFTs being minted with a floor price of 0.045E. Not all Donkeys in the game are the same, and each Donkey has a unique base status that directly affects the Donkey’s performance in the mission. Status can be divided into STRENGTH, WISDOM, DEXTERITY, CONSTITUTION and STAMINA, different status will have a positive or negative effect on Donkey. In addition, players can improve Donkey’s attributes through training equipment, and can also gain new endurance through attributes found while out on missions.

Toadstoolz

Toadstoolz is an on-chain Toadstoolz simulation of life with a total of 8888 Toadstoolz NFTs, casting is free but limited to addresses on the official list. Toadstoolz has 6 characters for players to choose from, and players select a character to start the game in order to obtain the in-game Token BUGZ. The main ways to obtain BUGZ are by challenging the boss Wormtongue the Great and by hunting for characters, but players cannot transfer or exchange BUGZ for other Tokens after obtaining them, and are limited to using BUGZ to purchase common or rare items at the in-game store Croak-E-Mart, and then selling them for profit from the secondary NFT trading market.

Knights Of The Ether

Knights Of The Ether is a fantasy-themed PvE card battle game with a limited number of 3,999 unique characters, each with their data hosted on IPFS. According to Dune Analytics, Knights Of The Ether has had a steady weekly active user base of around 200 for the past six months. Players currently need to purchase a Knight character on OpenSea before starting the game, with a current floor price of about 0.05 ETH for a Knight, and secondly, a Squire on the NFT trading marketplace Trove (floor price 244 MAGIC) before they can perform the game’s daily quests. Players can obtain FIEF Token, potions, trinkets and rings through the game’s daily quests. After obtaining these items, you can either choose to upgrade or combine them with FIEF to enhance the game character’s tools, or sell them directly at Trove for a profit.

LifeVerse

LifeVerse is a Sims game built on the TreasureDAO ecosystem, designed to give players a different kind of lifetime experience. The player’s journey begins with a Seed of Life, which can be redeemed to assign a newborn child to one of eight different character classes, of which the player chooses one. Characters vary in rarity and play different roles in the development of the player’s lifeform, most notably in the amount of MAGIC gained at the time of employment. As a game character’s lifeform grows, its physical state evolves. In order to promote growth and maximize its output, the game character lifeform needs to be replenished with nutrients, without which the game character’s lifeform will decline or even simply dry up. LifeVerse makes anthropomorphic life forms into NFT, and when the life form ends, players can purchase Seed of Life on Trove to reshape the new life, and the current price of a single Seed of Life floor is 100 MAGIC.

Lost SamuRise

Lost SamuRise is a faction-based strategy game that borrows elements from the lore and style of classical Japanese samurai culture. There are three factions in the game, and each faction organizes itself in SamuRise to engage in resource wars, with the winning faction gaining the right to become the Shogun. Each province in the game is divided into land assets in turn, up to a maximum of 1111, or 3333 per faction. Each Ether wallet address can only produce 1 plot of land, which can be permanently assigned to a faction once the player has successfully completed the “Sanctuary Quest”. The game contains four seasons in a year, containing 3 identical seasonal cycles (Spring, Summer, Fall), and the final Winter season as the final season, with different daily quests for different seasons. Spring, summer and autumn carry out staff placement operations, council voting, faction orders and order resolution, while the main task in winter is to resolve the rebellion and eventually issue the Mikado Prize based on ranking.

Realm

Realm is a world-building and exploration game rooted in GameFi that gamifies NFT, creating a space where all NFT communities can interact with each other through the game and bringing value to the TreasureDAO ecosystem by allowing NFTs to unify their roles and develop multi-game storylines. There are two roles to play in the game, Adventurer and Realmer, with about 5,000 users choosing Realmers and 20,000 choosing Adventurer. The Realmer is the owner of the Realm NFT, builds the game world and reacts to market conditions, expands the game world for the Adventurer and benefits mainly by competing for the highest ranking on the leaderboard and earning MAGIC rewards and producing NFT and items to sell to other Realmers. The Adventurer’s mission is to enter the game realm, find quests, PvP battles, and earn both PARTICLE and ANIMA (both of which are non-transferable soul-bound Tokens) Token rewards. It is worth noting that the actual reward for choosing Adventurer’s Token is less than that of Realmer. Early participants of Adventurers of the Void’s NFT have free casting rights and a public casting price of 0.069 ETH. Realm has currently produced 152,000 NFTs and burned nearly 120,000, a burn rate of 76%.

TreasureDAO’s long-term vision is to act as the Nintendo of the crypto metaverse, where any new or existing project can plug their cassette into their console to enjoy their technology and community, and TreasureDAO is indeed starting to take root in the GameFi/NFT space, gradually becoming a mainstream member of the market.
